The fall weather we all long for – that is, beautifully warm and sunny days – is finally here! My sweeties and I went for a walk along the river to collect leaves for leaf- rubbing art. The leaves haven’t finished changing colour yet but it was still pretty out there.
The leaves in the river valley aren’t as fantastic I might like. We don’t have the enormous maple leaves like Ontario does (sigh!) or anything particularly exotic. But they do look pretty when they change colour. In addition to the sights, I’ve always loved the sound of poplar leaves rustling in the wind. My kids now appreciate that sound too.
After our walk, the kids examined their treasures more closely on our front steps.
And then into the house they went to begin their leaf-rubbing. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of their art before they were given away to friends.
I’m linking up to Sunday Snapshot at Ni Hao Y’all. Head on over there to check out some gorgeous images!
