Three Xinyu sisters and a Guangdong guy

While in Saskatoon, our friends Rae and Girard graciously hosted a lovely barbecue and get-together.

It had been some time since our four kids were together but you’d never know it. Meanwhile, the adults had an awesome time catching up. I’m always amazed and thankful that our families have grown so close. As I’ve said many times, I knew when we applied to adopt Claire that we’d be adopting a child but we never imagined we’d gain lifelong friends in the process.

Can’t you just picture these same girls sixty or seventy years from now sitting on a similar bench feeding ducks instead of blowing bubbles?!

A big thanks to our hosts for welcoming us all (including Grandmas!) into their home and gorgeous yard. Thank you, Rae and Girard! And thanks to Shea, Caia and Grandma Dar for taking time out of their busy summer to see us. Hugs and kisses until next time.

  • Look at these girls giggling together, honestly fills my heart with joy. How precious for them to have this incredible connection!

And Ren, is he letting off some steam? ..that's a lot of gals for him to have to deal with! Can't blame him much!! 😉

  • LOL, Ren was actually just trying to "pick" the daisy (that is, cut the stem by breaking it) but his face just looks so menacing!!ReplyCancel
