A special gift

On a cold February night nearly five years ago, Claire met our friends Marianne and Rod for the first time. They had already showered us with many gifts for Claire but Marianne was not about to let us leave empty-handed on this momentous occasion! One of the gifts they gave Claire that night was a beautiful linen jacket with fluffy sheep on it.

As you can see in the snapshot above, it was just a tad too big for Claire at the time.

Every spring and fall, I would try the jacket on her to see if it fit yet. And every time, I deemed it still too large. Until this fall! It now fits Claire perfectly. It was worth the wait to see our beautiful girl in this lovely, special jacket.

  • Aww, that is adorable! Love it! Lilah has a smiliar one from Ireland! …of course, with the sheep! 🙂

And she also has a gorgeous handknit jacket (from her very special guardians) that I try on her every Fall, but it's still too big! Soon…soon, I hope!
