The last day

There are few words for the last day of our reunion (to quote Rae, “sniff”).

Just a few last images:

On our last night in China, a group photo was taken of the moms (and one dad) with the children. We re-created the image with the families present at our summer reunion.

One thing we didn’t know in China – in fact we didn’t know until we’d been home with our babies a whole year – was that Claire, Maeve and Kennedy had been in the same foster home for the first ten months of their lives. They knew each other before they knew us. When we moms looked back at the group photo, we were amazed to find that we were seated next to each other with the babies.

As I prepared this blog post, I noticed how our six families are all together in the center of the photo (making cropping for just our families easier!). There are two women next to Rae visible in the next photo. We were blessed to see those ladies and their families last summer. Though they couldn’t make it this summer, they were definitely there in spirit!

Hugs and kisses to all of you until next time.

  • Beautiful once again. SO funny, I was just noticing the placement of all of us too before I scrolled down to see you'd noticed the same thing. Kinda weird:)ReplyCancel

  • Beautiful photos, loved all of them and all of your reunion posts.

It was a magical, fun-filled time — we'll never forget the memories we made and can't wait to make more at our next reunion.

    Sniff again. xxooReplyCancel
