We finally sent off our letters to Santa yesterday. It seems like we’re a bit behind with everything this year.
Claire asked for an Ariel Mermaid doll (with legs, not a tail – she was very specific about this!), a Prince Eric doll for Ariel to marry and for a pirate game (???). I have it on good authority that she’ll get the items of these that Santa’s elves actually make.
Ren asked for a Lightning McQueen toy (like he doesn’t have enough) and an action figure from the Incredibles movie. He’s been a good boy this year so he’s sure to get his wishes granted except for maybe the Incredibles toy … not sure if those are still in production at the North Pole.
Since yesterday was such a warm day, we chose to mail our letters to Santa in the afternoon. We are fortunate to have a special Canada Post mailbox nearby for this very purpose!
Now, the tricky part. I wanted to get pictures of them mailing their letters but Claire isn’t tall enough to reach the mail slot door and Ren can just barely reach. In the end, it worked out great: Ren stood on his toes and kept the door open with the tips of his fingers for both of them. What a holiday hero!
Dear Santa, Claire and Ren have been so, so, so good this year. In celebration of Jesus’ birthday, will you please visit our home on Christmas Eve and deliver special presents for them? I would be forever thankful.
All the best,
Mom to two of the cutest and sweetest kids in the world
