Claire’s fourth birthday portraits

Well, they are a month late but here they are. We took these this morning at the conservatory while Ren was in “school” (the Toddler Room). Claire did a few different poses but by fluke, nearly all the best ones are with the parasol. So much for variety!

I was using my latest lens again and am more happy with the results today. Plus, my girl was in great form! She doesn’t always like posing but lately she seems happy to remain somewhat still as long as I pretend that I’m Samuel, her favourite boy at her school. She has a major crush on that boy, I tell ya.

This is my favourite one. I always love ones where Claire is laughing her big laugh, head thrown back.

And I’m not sure what was going on in her mind here but I love it. I think she looks so inquisitive here, which is definitely true to life.
